Baptism is the first step in an amazing journey of following Jesus. At AST we baptise children and adults during our Sunday services. If you don’t currently attend our church and would like to explore baptism for yourself or your child then please attend one of our Sunday services first. You will receive a warm welcome and at the end of the service please chat to one of the clergy and we will take your details and arrange a baptism visit. During the baptism visit we will explore together what baptism is, what will happen in the service and if baptism is the best for you or if a "Thanksgiving service for the gift of a child" is a better fit.
If you are already a regular attender of our church please chat to one of the clergy about baptism and they will be able to help you take the next steps.
At AST we usually baptise individuals who live in the parish, or regularly attend the church or have a connection with the church which makes it an obvious choice e.g. an older sibling has been baptised at our church.
