What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of conversations that looks into questions of life, faith and meaning. Each week you’ll join a group and watch a 25 minute video on various topics exploring the Christian faith, then afterwards chat with others and have honest and open discussions. Topics can vary from Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I prayer? and How does God guide us?
Alpha has been running all over the world for decades in pubs, churches, universities, prisons and homes. Nearly 30 million people have taken part.
So maybe in the past few months and years of living in such uncertain times you have questions about faith. This is the perfect place to come and explore answers together with others. Everyone is welcome!
When is the next course?
We run Alpha every January. Alpha 2026 will start with a launch on Wednesday 21st January 2026 at 7:30pm and run every Wednesday from 7:30pm to 9pm until 28th March 2026 with an extra Saturday on 7th March 2026 10-4 (this is often people’s favourite part of the course!)
